Starting up
A Valentine's gift to start off my blog...with edible gold.
As I was piping the flood in flood patterns onto these cookies, I found some of the areas remained raised as the base flood dried a little, and the piping was slightly stiff. I'd kept it stiffer intentionally, hoping the pattern would stay sharper, but hadn't expected this 'embossed' effect. I like it. It looks smarter when painted with lustre dust and feels nice to the touch. I'd like to emphasise the effect more and so I shall experiment further.
